Compassionate and opinionated (her words!), caring and ethical (ours!), heads up our NOMs team in the Midlands.
What made you want to work for Sova?
I was always interested in working with offenders and supporting people who do not often get wider public sympathy or support, but with the right encouragement and assistance could change; which has to be good for society as a whole.
What do you enjoy about working for Sova?
I enjoy the freedom to explore ideas and the support of a management tier that is small and therefore
responsive. We also have some of the most hardworking and dedicated staff I have come across.
How do you feel the work you do benefits those you work with?
Sova is non judgemental and in my experience nothing is too much trouble. They treat clients with dignity and respect regardless of their circumstances. They are also realistic about the support they offer and expect their clients to help themselves alongside the Sova support.
What qualities do you need to do your job effectively?
You need realism, basic humanity and high expectations of yourself and others.
