Increasing Black and Minority Ethnic Employment and Tackling Economic Activity

This project is funded by European Social Fund (ESF) in partnership with All Wales Ethnic Minority Association (AWEMA)

About With AWEMA (All Wales Ethnic minority Association) being the lead partner we also share the partnership with MEWN Swansea (Minority Ethnic Women’s Network), YMCA Swansea and VALREC (Valleys Race Equality Council) The Project will be covering the most deprived areas in Wales. This is called the Convergence area and includes: 1) Swansea 2) Conwy 3) Carmarthen 4) Ceredigion 5) Gwynedd 6) Isle of Anglesey 7) Denbighshire The project aims to achieve the following objectives: Develop staff, volunteers and participants off the project Raise the projects awareness Engage and asses targeted groups Inform, advice and carry out activities to target groups Engage with employers Support, mentor and track newly employed participants Promote and develop Entrepreneurship and social enterprise Monitor, assess, evaluate and publicise the project Ensure project’s legacy
