What training do I get? All Sova volunteers undertake a training package before they commence in their role. All volunteers will get training which covers the core skills involved in volunteering. This will include communication skills, knowledge of boundaries and awareness of the service user groups we support. Further role specific training is also made available; so those undertaking the role of a Mentor, Independent Visitor or Appropriate Adult fully understand all elements of these roles. The training will also cover Sova policy and process in areas of high importance, such as Safeguarding, Health and Safety and Data Protection.
