and implement a volunteer mentoring programme for young people
leaving care.

guidance and procedures for the safe running of the scheme in
line with the principles of the Prince�s Trust and taking
account of relevant statutory requirements and recommended good
practice for young people leaving care.

| Provide
screened, trained and supported volunteer mentors who will be
available for each careleaver referred, for up to a year.

| Develop
links and provide information to local authorities.
|
| Make
more carers and young people leaving care aware of the
opportunities that are already available on Prince�s Trust
activities.

| Introduce
a Basic Skills agenda in support of careleavers.
|
| Monitor
and evaluate both the process and the individual outcomes of the
scheme.
|
| Share
good practice with other partners in the Leaving Care
Initiative. |
