This project aims to engage volunteers with young people on Lifeskills programmes.  It is a partnership between SOVA and Acorn Initiative (a division of Nottinghamshire County Council Youth Community and Play).  The project works with 16-18 year olds who are on the Lifeskills Programme.  It aims to improve the confidence, self esteem and motivation of Lifeskills learners.  It aims to increase their attendance on the programme in order that they access appropriate employment training and educational opportunities.  Young people are matched with trained mentors who support them in achieving completion of their six month course.
