project aims:

The Lincolnshire Reparation Mentoring Scheme is offered to young people aged between 10 and 17 who have completed a reparation order and who wish to continue being mentored for up to a maximum of 6 months. The young people are matched with a trained volunteer who assists them in setting up and achieving goals to reduce their chances of re-offending by:

- Encouraging a more constructive use of leisure time
- Developing existing skills and interests shown by the young person
- Helping the young person to find out about benefits, housing, employment opportunities etc and thereby empowering the young person to make decisions.
- Offering practical help with the completion of forms, applications etc
- Increasing self esteem and confidence by encouragement and personal development.
- Offering practical help in finding details of local facilities for young people and encouragement in their use.
- Providing a positive role model and reinforcing positive attitudes
