project aims:

North Lincs Volunteers Scheme (Social Services/SRB/YOT/Princes Trust)

This project was formed in 1994 as the Lincolnshire Befrienders Project. Operating from two bases across Lincolnshire (Lincoln and Stamford), the projectís primary task is to recruit, select, train and support volunteer befrienders, who are matched with vulnerable young people between the ages of 8 and 17 years of age, referred by Lincolnshire Social Services Directorate and considered to be in need or at risk of:-

-Family breakdown or who are estranged from their family
- At risk of offending
- Who are socially isolated - Not attending school
- Leaving care or have left the care system
