Care Group from the CAST Project in Sheffield won the Princes Trust Regional
Community Trust Impact Award at a prestigious event in Leeds hosted by ITV’s
Carolyn Hodgson.
The CAST & Befriending Project aims to provide opportunities for young people to benefit by gaining in confidence and self esteem to help them access pportunities open to other young people.
� The project will offer support to young people who are in or have been in care in order that they can successfully make the transition to independent living and training/ employment
� The project will give opportunities for young people in care and care leavers to assist other vulnerable young people.
� Volunteers will be recruited, trained and selected in accordance with SOVA procedures.
� Volunteers will be suitably trained to provide support and guidance and offered an accredited course.
