SOVA in Lincolnshire, provides support to children
and young people who are aged between 8 and 17, through the recruitment,
selection, training, deployment and support of volunteers. To provide practical
support to young people deemed “at risk” of:
- Social exclusion
- Family breakdown
- Offending/further offending
- School exclusion
In addition SOVA provide volunteers to act as
Independent Visitors to Children in Public Care and looked after by the Local
Authority. These Children and Young People may have little or no contact with
their birth family.
