SOVA in partnership with Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust, working in collaboration with London Probation Trust and Metropolitan Police aims to support adult male offenders with lifelong psychological needs reintegrate successfully into the community.
Our specific aims are to:
-
promote
social inclusion
-
minimise the
potential harm to the public.
-
enable
clients to maintain an improved quality of life with the appropriate levels of
support
-
encourage
confidence and competence to both volunteers and
clients
However, many find it difficult to cope due to isolation, low self
esteem & vulnerability for example and they would benefit from people within
their local area supporting them to become a valued member of the
community. SOVA Support Link covers the following South-East
London boroughs:
- Bexley
- Bromley
- Greenwich
- Lewisham
Our fully trained, supervised and supported volunteers provide
intensive emotional and practical support to adults within a group setting as
well as one to one mentoring on a weekly basis.
