Providing a Drop-In facility on a Tuesday and Thursday and over the school holidays delivering a variety of activities

The Sova CAST (Caring Around Sheffield Together) project provides:-

  • Weekly drop-in service for looked after children and care leavers
  • positive activities, particularly during holiday periods
  • provide counselling and support to looked after children and care leavers
  • individual support to parents
  • encouragement and facilitates the involvement of young people around participation and engagement
  • themed events around IT safety, self-harming, drug and alcohol, teenage pregnancy etc
  • a variety of multi-sports, arts and crafts, and cooking sessions

For many children and young people, life can be unsettling. Having a safe place to go, to relax and take time out, can make all the difference.

Sova’s CAST project welcomes young people aged 8-25 years, who, for many reasons, may struggle to fit in elsewhere. With an assortment of sports and creative activities, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

I have made some great friends at the drop-in, it’s the only place for me to go on a Tues and Thurs and the staff look after me
