An exciting opportunity for a Volunteer Coordinator has arisen for the right individual, to provide effective support to Sova’s Norfolk Independent Visitor and Advocacy Service.

Our volunteer Independent Visitors offer long-term support and encouragement for looked after young people in Norfolk. You will recruit, train and match independent visitors with a child or young person who needs extra support and encouragement. Sometimes because they have little or no contact with their own families, and the volunteer is there as someone ‘independent’ in the young person’s life, distinct from the professionals paid to support them.

Base: Norwich

Salary: £20,769 - £22,542(pro rata)

Hours: Part time, 30 Hours per week

Project funding end date: 31st March 2021

Skills required for this post include volunteer recruitment and selection, administration, and data inputting and collation.

The Volunteer Coordinator role is critical in ensuring that we provide the right structure, training and support for our volunteers to carry out this important work. The role requires excellent understanding, knowledge and expertise of recruiting and training volunteers to a very high standard and supervising their activities on an ongoing basis.
