Chris's Biography
Following a long career in the Home Office, I became a Trustee of SOVA in 2005.
I have had close working links with SOVA over many years while in the Home Office
(especially on the prisons side) and hope that I can bring my experience of the
way in which Government Departments work to benefit SOVA at a
time when the voluntary sector faces substantial and arguably
unprecedented challenges.
I retain a keen interest in the criminal justice system and
have visited many SOVA projects in England and Wales,
always being heartened and impressed by the commitment of
staff in often difficult circumstances.
In addition to attending Council, I sit on the group drawing up the new strategy for SOVA's development
over coming years and am part of the review of performance monitoring.
