SOVA Lincolnshire Befriending and Mentoring


The Director for SOVA Lincolnshire Befriending and Mentoring is Sue Ford contactable through SOVA Lincoln Office.


Project aim:This project was formed in 1994 as the Lincolnshire Befrienders Project. Operating from two bases across Lincolnshire (Lincoln and Stamford), the project�s primary task is to recruit, select, train and support volunteer befrienders, who are matched with vulnerable young people between the ages of 8 and 17 years of age, referred by Lincolnshire Social Services Directorate and considered to be in need or at risk of:-

-Family breakdown or who are estranged from their family
- At risk of offending
- Who are socially isolated - Not attending school
- Leaving care or have left the care system
