What is PRO Mentoring?
PRO Mentoring is a partnership between SOVA and The Princes
Trust, funded by the National Lottery Community Fund, which aims
to:
- Reduce re-offending by young people
- Support and empower young offenders
- Enable young offenders to develop skills for living
- Increase participation, retention and positive outcomes from
self-development programmes offered by The Princes Trust
Who does it benefit?
The project targets young offenders on the Princes Trust
Volunteers Programme:
- Who are aged 14-25
- Who are serving both community and custodial sentences, or
have completed either one within the last 12 months.
By offering volunteers the opportunity to gain experience
of working with a wide variety of young offenders in community
and custodial settings, project staff are developing a range
of partnerships with Prisons, YOIs, Probation departments and
YOTs. |
