Sova Orbit
At the Sova Orbit Mentoring Project we find, train and support volunteer mentors to work with local Orbit south residents and family members. Our mentors provide practical advice and emotional support, helping residents to make informed choices and improve their lives.
Our volunteer mentors work in the community providing one to one support, on a weekly basis, to local Orbit residents, supporting those who have found themselves in difficult situations. Working alongside Orbit South and other agencies our mentors help people reach their potential by building confidence and self-esteem. Mentors help to motivate residents to find ways to tackle problems, whether they are at risk of losing their tenancy, involved in anti-social behaviour or need help getting back to work and education.
All of our volunteers receive accredited training. The Sova Orbit Mentoring Project is funded by Orbit south housing association.
