The Youth Futures Mentor role is wide-ranging. Duties vary according to the needs and aspirations of the young person. The key aim is to support the young person to overcome complex barriers, improve employability and enter a sustained education, training or work destination.
The role requires experience of working with vulnerable and challenging young people, with a specific focus on care leavers, mental health and learning disabilities. We will expect the post holder to manage their own case load and plan, deliver and measure interventions to support the participants they work with.

An exciting opportunity for a Volunteer Coordinator has arisen for the right individual, to provide effective support to Sova’s Gloucestershire Independent Visitors project.
Our volunteer Independent Visitors offer long-term support and encouragement for looked after young people in Gloucestershire. We match each volunteer Independent Visitor with a child or young person who needs extra support and encouragement, sometimes because they have little or no contact with their own families. The volunteer is there as someone ‘independent’ in the young person’s life, distinct from the professionals paid to support them.

Sova have two Case Officer posts available which will cover the East of England. Applicants should ideally live within the East of England, specifically within Norfolk, Suffolk, South Essex, Hertfordshire or Bedfordshire.
The role of Case Officer, Sova Connect (East of England), is critical to us achieving our mission. Our case management is service user-led focusing on the achievement of hard outcomes, which support the service users within the framework of the pathways to reducing re-offending (employment, education & training, housing, finance & debt, families, drug and alcohol support). Support will be delivered in custody at several prisons across the East of England as well as within the community following release.
Our Case Officers are there to provide, through volunteer mentoring, intensive, professional support, motivation, knowledge and expertise. Experience of volunteer recruitment and management would be an advantage. Working with partners across the third, public and private sectors the role also requires a commitment to multi-agency working and the ability to foster positive relationships with volunteers, partners, funders and key stakeholders.

The Finance Administrative Assistant role is a new position within the organisation, and will be critical in ensuring that Sova meets all its internal and external obligations within the fields of finance.
Working with the Finance Officer, Finance Account Manager and Head of Finance, the post holder will take responsibility for various administrative elements of the Finance Department.
We are looking for a candidate with experience of data inputting, updating databases and maintaining records with a high degree of quality and accuracy. The ideal candidate would need to have Excel, Outlook and Microsoft Word skills. The candidate would have excellent communication skills, a flexible approach and experienced in liaising with a wide range of internal and external individuals.
