Mission and Aims

This
project was formed in 1994 as the Lincolnshire Befrienders Project.
Operating from two bases across Lincolnshire (Lincoln and
Stamford), the project�s primary task is to recruit, select, train
and support volunteer befrienders, who are matched with vulnerable
young people between the ages of 8 and 17 years of age, referred by
Lincolnshire Social Services Directorate and considered to be in
need or at risk of:-

breakdown or who are estranged from their family

| At
risk of offending

| Who
are socially isolated

| Not
attending school

| Leaving
care or have left the care system
