Encouraging a more constructive use of leisure time
Developing existing skills and interests shown by the young person
Helping the young person to find out about benefits, housing, employment opportunities etc and thereby empowering the young person to make decisions.
Offering practical help with the completion of forms, applications etc
Increasing self esteem and confidence by encouragement and personal development.
Offering practical help in finding details of local facilities for young people and encouragement in their use.
Providing a positive role model and reinforcing positive attitudes
