Sova Step Change

At Sova Step Change we help offenders to get back into work, giving them a better chance of steering clear of crime.

Our team work closely with offenders in the community, to boost their chances of finding and keeping a job. Many people who have been in trouble with the law have no qualifications and little work experience, making the challenge of finding work with a criminal record even harder. We give the one to one advice and support each person needs to feel motivated and ready for work. This could be by offering practical tips on putting together a CV or interview skills, by guiding people to the right training to get new skills and qualifications or simply by working with them to build their confidence and self-esteem. We also give them advice on what they need to tell prospective employers about their offending and highlighting the steps they have taken to move away from crime and get their lives back on track.

Sova Step Change is funded by a Co-financing Organisation of the European Social Fund and National Offender Management Service via West Yorkshire Probation Trust. For further information about our work please contact Kevin Carrick on [email protected]
