Volunteer Mentor - Greenwich

We are currently looking for motivated and open minded individuals to volunteer on the Sova CRI Greenwich Mentoring Project. Would you like to contribute to and to change people’s lives? Are you looking for an opportunity to share your life skills with those less confident? Gain valuable skills and experience whilst helping others – volunteer and you can help someone get their life back on track.

We train and support volunteers to work with  young adults between the ages of 17-25 who are in need of support, at risk of offending or misusing alcohol/drugs. Our mentors provide practical advice and emotional support, helping service users to make informed choices and have better lives.

Volunteer mentors will support service users in conjunction with the CRI 17>25 Service in Greenwich. Volunteer mentors will work on a one-to-one basis with individuals to ensure that they are supported and encouraged to work towards making better choices, finding new opportunities and assisted in practical areas such as housing, attending appointments and budgeting.

No experience is necessary as full accredited training is provided. Training will include specialist training in working with young adults and substance misuse.

Time commitment:  1-4 hours per week
