Volunteer Mentor - Thames Valley - Reading and Slough

Sova Thames Valley is looking to recruit and train volunteer mentors in Reading and Slough to support adult offenders in the community. The aim of Sova  Thames Valley is to reduce reoffending, through volunteer mentoring. 

Our volunteers are matched with someone who needs support and encouragement to steer clear of crime.  An important part of the volunteer role is to support service users access local resources and information, education, training, and employment opportunities, as well as offering a listening ear.

We provide all volunteer mentors with full training and ongoing support and supervision.  If you are an open-minded, energetic, motivated individual willing to support young adults known to probation, please get in touch.

 

Time commitment:  1-4 hours per week
